New Web Site Launched to Serve Business and Professional Women
Raleigh, NC - The Women's Institute recently launched its new Web site to connect working women with educational, networking and mentoring opportunities. Offering seminars, support, and advice, the Women's Institute gives assistance to women on business issues as uniquely experienced by their gender in today's society.
“The new Web site, found at www.womensinst.org, was designed by Raleigh-based Web Design Studio. Meeting the needs of business and professional women, the new site combines information and resource links with support programs to empower women to achieve equality in business leadership.
In addition to the Web site, Web Design Studio also developed a database to help keep track of seminar attendees, newsletter subscribers, and volunteer mentors. Designed with an uncomplicated user interface, non-technical Women's Institute staff are now able to create and maintain database content; improving the quality and timeliness of information.
The Web site was designed in a user-friendly format, with clear navigation and useful links. "Our site has moved away from being purely informative to one that offers an opportunity to get involved," said Katherine Sliva, Women's Institute President. "Visitors can sign up to be a sponsor or a mentor, enroll in a program, subscribe to our eNewsletter, or take a survey to share their thoughts and ideas."
The Women's Institute Web site supports all aspects of the Institute's mission including the delivery of educational courseware and the support of networking events. Visitors to the site are presented with recent news, upcoming events and more. Potential sponsors, speakers and alliance organizations utilize the site to learn how they can leverage Women's Institute to empower local women to achieve equality in business leadership.
