Motivated by his life experiences as a child and his success as an adult, Sonny Gupta took on the concept of community at a very young age. Growing up in India,he developed a strong sense of empathy.He says, “Every contribution, big or small,counts. Recalling the faces of the poorest of the poor and the weakest of the weak, I feel we are blessed to even have three square meals a day, proper clothing and shelter. And, in gratitude to the world that has given me all that I have, I believe it becomes my duty to give back to society.”

Today, as CEO of Web Design Studio, an international internet services company,Sonny puts those beliefs into practice. His philanthropic support through Web Design Studio’s pro bono work has significantly improved the community we live in. His charitable gifts to various non-profit organizations in the Triangle area have helped women advance in their careers, assisted local businesses to improve upon their foreign trade capabilities, and empowered the less fortunate.

Sonny found authenticity in the services provided by Hospice of Wake County (HOWC) and decided he wanted to be associated with it. As a result, HOWC is a recipient of one of Sonny’s generous gifts. A new, improved, easy to use website (www.hospiceofwake.org) will be launched shortly thanks to the efforts by Sonny and his staff at Web Design Studio.

“I am a firm believer of making the last days of life as good as they can be.” says Sonny. “And, I feel that we should help Hospice of Wake County get the word out that they are there to offer services that not only help enhance the quality of an individual’s end of life care, but supports their loved ones as well. By launching a new redesigned, easy to use website for Hospice of Wake County, I feel that we will give the organization additional exposure and thus assist in fulfilling their mission.”
